WILDLAND BRUSH OVERPANTS

Barrier Wear, Inc. has manufactured Wildland protective clothing since 1984. Many of the designs and styles have come from years of input by firefighters themselves. Our products range from the simplest of styles with no options, all the way to the most complex models with all options. The two most common Wildland Brush Overpant designs are the #4070OC and the #4070PX specs.  (Select the 4070OC spec or the 4070PX spec tab for complete design details)

Most Barrier Wear Wildland clothing is UL certified to meet or exceed the NFPA 1977 Standard on Protective Clothing and Equipment for Wildland Fire Fighting (1998 Edition) and the requirements of CAL-OSHA Article 10.1, Section 3406C.

FABRIC

NOMEX® IIIA is inherently flame resistant, anti-static fiber blend of 93% Nomex®, 5% Kevlar®, and 2% carbon antistatic manufactured only by Dupont. Nomex® IIIA dissipates electrical charges in the fabric, producing an added level of comfort against static.  Garments of Nomex® IIIA will not burn in the air, melt, or drip. The flame resistance of Nomex® IIIA is built into the fiber itself. Unlike chemically treated flame retardant fabrics like FR Cotton, the protection of Nomex® IIIA cannot be washed out or worn away.

Barrier Wear offers both 6.0oz or 7.5oz Nomex® IIIA, depending on your durability requirements.
